Students with Disabilities
Students who receive special education services.
This graph shows the percentage of students, in Illinois schools, who receive special education services through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). By selecting “Show 5-year trend,” you can see changes in the student body over time.
Each special education student receives an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that specifies supplemental services, modifications, and accommodations available to that student. For example, a student with a learning disability may have an IEP that allows for additional time on examinations or may allow assignments to be typed rather than hand-written.
